The Supreme Court adopted a series of rules to help ensure that child custody proceedings are handled expeditiously, competently, and with great emphasis on the "best interests of the child". Our not-for-profit professional membership organization is committed to promoting mediation as an effective means to address family conflict and decisions. We work to increase awareness and acceptance of family mediation, to provide information about mediation to families, and to assist family mediators attain a high skill level and achieve success in the field of mediation.

MCI “Referral “member family mediators are listed on this website. Those listed have submitted their credentials to MCI to verify their compliance with MCI’s education, experience, and annual continuing education requirement for MCI Referral members. Referral members also pledge to adhere to the MCI Standards of Practice for family mediators.

We are dedicated and work toward the day when the Illinois family court system has evolved to one where Court is the alternative manner in which to solve and resolve family issues.

The goal of Mediation is to seek solutions that “fit” your family and your situation and that meet the needs of everyone involved. When family members resolve their problems and make their own mutually satisfactory decisions, EVERYONE WINS!!!

Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly at anytime.
